- PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plan with in-network and out-of-network coverage
- Coverage for preventive care, office visits, hospitalization, prescription drugs, and emergency services
- Access to a broad network of healthcare providers

- Employee contribution: 25% of the premium through payroll deductions

Eligibility[edit | edit source]
You become eligible for medical insurance coverage on your first day of employment. Coverage extends to:

- Your dependent children up to age 26
Enrollment[edit | edit source]
You can enroll in medical coverage:
- When first eligible as a new employee
- During annual open enrollment (typically in November)
- Within 30 days of a qualifying life event (such as marriage, birth of a child, or loss of other coverage)

The Counsel Knowledge Law Group provides dental insurance through our dental insurance carrier to help you maintain good dental health.

- Preventive services: 100% coverage for routine exams, cleanings, and x-rays
- Basic services: 80% coverage for fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Major services: 50% coverage for crowns, bridges, and dentures
- Annual maximum benefit: $1,500 per person
- Deductible: $50 individual / $150 family

- Eyeglass frames: $150 allowance every 24 months
- Eyeglass lenses: Covered once every 12 months
- Contact lenses: $150 allowance every 12 months

- Employee contributions: You may contribute up to the IRS annual limit through convenient payroll deductions.
- Company match: The Counsel Knowledge Law Group matches 100% of your contributions up to 6% of your eligible compensation.
Vesting[edit | edit source]
You are always 100% vested in your own contributions. Company matching contributions vest according to this schedule:
- 25% after 1 year, 50% after 2 years, 75% after 3 years, 100% after 4 years
Eligibility[edit | edit source]
You become eligible to participate in the retirement plan after 30 days of employment.

Paid Time Off (PTO)[edit | edit source]
The Counsel Knowledge Law Group provides paid time off to allow employees to rest, recharge, and attend to personal matters.
PTO Allowance[edit | edit source]
Full-time employees receive 15 days of paid time off per calendar year. PTO accrues at the rate of 1.25 days per month.
Your PTO allowance is prorated based on your start date during your first year at The Counsel Knowledge Law Group.
Rollover Policy[edit | edit source]
Unused PTO days roll over from year to year, up to a maximum balance of 25 days.
Requesting Time Off[edit | edit source]
To request time off, please notify your manager with reasonable advance notice and ensure your responsibilities are covered during your absence.
PTO Upon Termination[edit | edit source]
If you leave The Counsel Knowledge Law Group, you will be paid for any unused, accrued PTO.
Holidays[edit | edit source]
The Counsel Knowledge Law Group observes the following 10 paid holidays each year:

When a holiday falls on a weekend, it will typically be observed on the nearest weekday.
Family and Medical Leave[edit | edit source]
The Counsel Knowledge Law Group provides family and medical leave in accordance with applicable laws and to support employees during important life events.
Parental Leave[edit | edit source]
- Primary caregiver: 12 weeks of paid leave at 100% of regular pay
- Secondary caregiver: 4 weeks of paid leave at 100% of regular pay
This leave must be taken within 12 months of the birth, adoption, or foster placement of a child.
Medical Leave[edit | edit source]
Employees may take up to 12 weeks of leave for their own serious health condition, with short-term disability benefits available during this time.
Family Care Leave[edit | edit source]
Employees may take up to 12 weeks of leave to care for a family member with a serious health condition. This leave may be partially paid depending on circumstances and applicable laws.

Employees become eligible for family and medical leave after 12 months of employment.

Bereavement Leave[edit | edit source]
The Counsel Knowledge Law Group provides 5 days of paid leave following the death of an immediate family member and 3 days for extended family.
Jury Duty[edit | edit source]
Employees called for jury duty will receive full pay for up to 10 days while serving.
Voting Time[edit | edit source]
The Counsel Knowledge Law Group encourages civic participation and provides up to 2 hours of paid time off to vote when polls are not open outside working hours.

The Counsel Knowledge Law Group provides new computers to employees every 3 years. You'll receive a laptop appropriate for your role, configured with necessary software.
